Oktoberfest Hertford 2024

We bought the tickets for this event a few months ago as they go really quickly.

Julie and Aaron, our friends of some years now also had their tickets for a while and Sue and I also booked three nights at the Hertford Camping and Caravan club site so we had somewhere to call a base for the boozy weekend.

Julie and Aaron opted to travel to Hertford on the bus and we met them in Wetherspoons where we started the day off with a Doombar (Andy) and San Miguel (Sue) lager (Julie) and a nice cuppa tea (Aaron).

We walked down the hill past Sainsbury's and on to Hartham common and joined the queue to have our bags checked etc.

We grabbed a table right at the front and got the first steins ordered. The party started and the beer flowed. The music was really good and the Oompah band was the best!

After the beer festival we popped into the Blackbird pub for a top up and then into Elle's for a Thai meal and then waved Julie and Aaron off as their son drove them home.
